LP Out Now From Kenneth Anger & Brian Butler’s Technicolor Skull

Technicolor Skull Acclaimed filmmaker Kenneth Anger teamed up with fellow filmmaker and musician Brian Butler for the multimedia project Technicolor Skull back in 2008 as part of the Austrian music festval Donaufestival, however they are just now making their recorded debut. Featuring Butler (who has worked with artists such as VON LMO, Rozz Williams, & Moving Units) on guitar/electronics and Anger on Theremin, the duo released their self-recorded debut LP this past November, coinciding with the Kenneth Anger: ICONS exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The self-titled, one-sided LP is 21 minutes of sonic freak-out bliss, pressed on blood red 180 gram vinyl. In keeping with Anger’s six decade long association with the occult, the album is appropriately limited to 666 copies. You can pick up a copy for $20 while the last over at The Ajna Offensive.
