Sophomore LP From Xray Eyeballs Out Next Month

xray eyeballs SS Just shy of a year after the release of their debut full length Not Nothing, Brooklyn’s Xray Eyeballs will be releasing their second LP, titled Splendor Squalor, February 28th for Kanine Records. The new record sees a lineup change for the group with the addition of Sarah Baldwin (Girls At Dawn, Fergus And Geronimo) on drums and Liz Lohse (Heaven, Runaway Suns) on guitar and synth. From the press release:
“On Splendor Squalor, Xray Eyeballs’ second full-length on Kanine, refracted rays of that redemptive light shine through the band’s eerie musical haze. The band evolves to more sophisticated songwriting and adventurous arrangement, while retaining the spark and energy of their raw early material, a progression that recalls Wire’s 154 and The Cure’s Pornography .”
You can preorder Splendor Squalor on vinyl from the label for $13. Check out the new track “Scorpio” below! Scorpio by xrayeyeballs
