Secret Stash Releasing Afro Funk “Body Music” Reissue, First 200 On “Smushed” Blue Vinyl

Afro Funk Body Music We’re big fans of Secret Stash, they’ve always got killer material, and never skimp on the presentation, and they’re newest offering is no exception. To the best of my knowledge, Body Music was the only full length LP ever released by Afro Funk, a band made up mostly of West African expats living in London in the early/mid 70s, and has been a rare record pretty much since day one. Both the initial UK pressing, and subsequent Ghanan release were limited, and originals on the Kabana Records label have topped $200 in collectors markets. Secret Stash is now offering the first official re-issue of this sought after funk classic, and to sweeten the deal, the first 200 copies of the album have been pressed on unique blue & white “smushed” vinyl, and will arrive in a screen-printed jacket, complete with wax seal. All LPs include Mp3 downloads, and you can snag a copy from the label for $22. Listen to the track Tei Egwu below, and also check out the making of video!
